With more than 20 years clinical experience, Angie has worked in a wide range of settings including community based, inpatient and crisis mental health services, self harm and suicide risk assessment, eating disorders program, rural and city based services, forensic mental health, education and correctional settings. Angie has worked with people of all ages and backgrounds experiencing symptoms associated with a broad range of mental health and psychiatric concerns.
Angie is passionate about supporting people and helping them understand their emotions and thoughts and how they may be impacting their current functioning, behaviour and performance. She is committed to helping people develop more effective coping strategies so they can work toward doing the things that are important to them, achieve their goals and live a life driven by their values - whether this be daily life activities, working toward achieving career or vocational pursuits or improving performance in sporting activities. She uses evidence-based psychological interventions and has an interest in incorporating the therapeutic benefits of nature and the outdoors into therapy.
Angie has training in a range of therapies including but not limited to Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) (adult and adolescent specific programs), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and incorporates a trauma informed and client centred approach to collaboratively develop a treatment plan to meet your needs. She enjoys engaging in a variety of professional development activities to increase knowledge and skills to better support the people she works with and is currently working toward completing a Master of Suicidology.
